Editing Cell Contents

To set up cell contents formatting options, switch to the edit mode in one of the following ways:

Operations with Cell Contents

After switching to the edit mode, you can execute the following operations with the data stored in the cell:

To set up format of the selected cells, select the Formatting item in the cell's context menu. The panel to set up cell format opens. Set cell contents formatting parameters.

To set up conditional formatting of the selected cells, select the Conditional Formatting item in the cell's context menu. The panel to set up cell conditional formatting opens. Set cell conditional formatting parameters.

Press CTRL+Z to undo the last operation.

Press CTRL+Y to redo the undone operation.

To cut cell contents to the clipboard:

Select the Cut item in the cell's context menu.
Select the Edit > Cut main menu item.
Press CTRL+X.

To copy contents of the selected cell to the clipboard:

Select the Copy item in the cell's context menu.
Select the Edit > Copy main menu item.
Press CTRL+C.

To paste data to a selected cell from the clipboard:

Select the Paste item in the cell's context menu.
Select the Edit > Paste main menu item.
Press CTRL+V.

To select all the contents of the selected cell, open the cell for edit and execute one of the operations:

Select the Select All context menu item.
Press CTRL+A.

To clear cell data, use the Clear button on the toolbar.

The following data clear options are available:

Clear Comment. To clear a cell comment only, select the Clear Comment item in the drop-down menu of the Clear button.
Clear Contents. To clear cell contents only, select the Clear Contents item in the drop-down menu of the Clear button. One can also use the DELETE key for this purpose.
Clear Format. To clear cell data format only, select the Clear Format item in the drop-down menu of the Clear button. One can also use CTRL+\ for this purpose.
Clear All. To clear cell contents, data format and comment, click the Clear button or select the Clear All item in the button's drop-down menu.
