Setting Up Territory Names

To work with the tool in Foresight Analytics Platform 10, use the new interface.

To set up territory names in the territory info, use the Names tab in the Territory Info dialog box.

To display the Territory Info dialog box

The Names tab can be viewed in two modes: simplified and advanced. The simplified mode enables the user to set attributes to form element names by selecting them in the drop-down list. The advanced mode enables the user to set attributes to form element names by means of expressions. To toggle between the modes, click the Switch to Advanced Mode or Switch to Simplified Mode button.

Simplified Mode

The simplified mode shows the Names tab of the Territory Info dialog box in the following way:

Select the required map layer in the drop-down list.

Determine layer attributes that are used to form element names:

Layer Attribute for Identifier. Select one of the layer attributes for element identifier in the drop-down list.
Layer Attribute for Name. Select one of the layer attributes for element name in the drop-down list.

Advanced Mode

The advanced mode shows the Names tab of the Territory Info dialog box in the following way:

Select the required map layer in the drop-down list.

Determine data binding to set attributes by means of expressions. To do this, click the Data Binding button. The Data Adapter dialog box opens. Use it to specify data binding. After data binding is determined, the Name Format group of parameters becomes available.

The group is not available until data slice binding is not determined.

Use this group to determine expressions to create element names:

Expression for Identifier. Determines an expression that is used to form element identifier.
Expression for Name. Determines an expression that is used to form element name.

An expression can be entered from the keyboard or defined in the Formula Editor dialog box. To do this, click the Edit button next to the expression box.
