If the Place Level Elements in Separate Columns and the Use Stairs Hierarchy checkboxes are selected for rows or columns on the Layout > Rows/Columns tab, the formatting is applied as follows:

On selecting the Place Level Elements in Separate Columns and the Arrange Child Elements before Parent Elements checkboxes for rows or columns on the Layout > Rows/Columns tab, formatting for additional names is applied as follows:

If no custom layout is used in the data area and the Place Level Elements in Separate Columns checkbox is selected for rows or columns on the Layout > Rows/Columns tab, formatting of the including element is applied to the neighbor merged cell.
