Adding Report Parameters and Working with Them

To add parameters which will provide a possibility to change dynamically a report contents and create their list:

To add parameters:

Click the Add button on the Manage Parameters tab of the Document group of tabs on the side panel. Determine properties in the displayed area of properties setting.

Click the Add button on the Object Parameters tab of the Parameter dialog box. Determine properties in the Report Parameters Properties dialog box:

Determine properties:

Name. Parameter name.
Identifier. Parameter identifier, unique within the report.
Data Type. Type of parameters data to be stored in the table. To determine parameter type, select one of the values in the drop-down list: string, number, real, date, or custom.
Default Value. Enter default parameter value in the edit box.
Display Parameters. Determine appearance and behavior for parameter value editor. Click the button to set up the editor. The Value Editor Parameters dialog box opens.

To finish parameter properties setup, click the Apply button if the side panel is used or the OK button if the dialog box is used.

To delete the selected parameter, click the Delete button.

A confirmation dialog box opens after executing the operation.

To edit the selected parameter, using the side panel, go to the Manage Parameters of the Document group of tabs.

To edit selected parameter in the Parameters dialog box:

Enter the required changes in the Report Parameter Properties dialog box.
