Managing Dictionary Hierarchy

A dictionary hierarchy is a combinations of elements. A dictionary hierarchy presents rules, by which elements are grouped in dimension.

The user can collapse or expand a dictionary hierarchy using parent signs:

. Collapsed hierarchy.
. Expanded hierarchy.

The example of dictionary hierarchy:

Use items in the context menu of the elements list to work with the hierarchy:

Expand All. All hierarchy elements are expanded.
Collapse All. All hierarchy elements are collapsed.

Alternative Hierarchy

An alternative hierarchy presents alternative rules, by which elements are grouped in dimension. Alternative hierarchy enables the user to display the same data in various aspects.

There are two ways of setting up alternative hierarchy:

Alternative hierarchy based on dictionaries.
Alternative hierarchy based on dictionary attributes.

NOTE. Both variants can be used at a time for one dictionary.
