Unique Keys: Composite MDM dictionary

The Unique Keys page is used to create and set up unique keys.

A unique key is a basic identifier of dictionary records.

A key may contain:

A single dictionary attribute, which values are unique for each of the elements.
Several attributes, which values are non-unique.

NOTE. A key may contain several attributes if a dictionary does not have single unique attribute.

Operations with Unique Keys

To add a unique key, click the Add button. A new key will be added to the list of unique keys. Key name and identifier will be set by default. The default value of the Name property - ITEM<Number>. The default value of the Identifier property is UI<Number>.

Set up unique key properties:

Name. Enter the unique key name.
Identifier. Enter the unique key identifier. Only Latin characters, numbers and underscores are allowed; spaces are not allowed.
Attribute Entries. The list contains the checkboxes corresponding to dictionary attributes, including system attributes: Name and Order. Select one of several attributes that must be included into a unique key.

To edit properties of the selected unique key, change properties in corresponding columns of the required unique key on the Unique Keys page of the dictionary wizard.
