The Event Handler Page: Standard Cube

An event handler is a Fore unit or assembly. An event handler enables the user to set actions when a particular event occurs enhancing functionalities of standard cubes.

To connect an event handler in a cube, go to the Event Handler page in the standard cube creation wizard. The page is available only in the web application.

To connect an event handler:

Select the unit or assembly in the Select Object area. To quickly find the object, start typing partial or full name of the unit or assembly in the Search box.

To change displaying of repository objects, select one of the options in the drop-down list of the Display Options button:

Name. Default value. Only names are displayed.
Identifier. Only identifiers are displayed.
Name and Identifier. Names and identifiers are displayed.

Select the event handler in the Event Handler area. The icon of specified link is displayed next to the handler.

After executing the operations the event handler is connected to the cube.

To disconnect the event handler from the cube, click the Reset button.

To be able to connect a handler to a cube, it should be a class inherited from the ICubeSaveMatrixCallback interface and have the following signature:

To provide correct handler work, connect the following system assemblies to the unit or assembly: Cubes, Matrix, Metabase.
