Automatic cube is used to create a data source based on the Top-Down scheme. Database and dictionaries are required to create an automatic cube. Dimensions will be based on dictionaries and the specified database will be used to store data. Data can be put to the cube by the user or loaded from the specified cube.
NOTE. Before creating an automatic cube make sure that the MDM metadata repository is created and updated.
The automatic cube wizard contains the pages:
Basic Properties. The page is used to set object name, identifier and comment.
Parameters. The page is used to create a list of parameters.
Structure. The page is used to specify the database, which will store cube data, and to specify multidimensional cube structure by means of dictionaries.
Units and Indicators. The page is used to specify dictionaries, which are used to organize automatic data scaling into required measurement units.
Controlling Dimensions. The page is used to set up interaction between parametric cube dimensions and other dimensions.
Data Aggregation. The page is used to set up data aggregation by various levels of cube dimensions.
Data Source. The page is used to specify an alternative data source, which data is used by the automatic cube.
Manage Parameters. The page is used to set up passing of parameter values to open objects used in the cube.
Fixing Dimensions. The page is used to fix source cube dimensions, which are not mapped with automatic cube dimensions.
NOTE. Automatic cube wizard is available only in the desktop application.
