Setting Weight Coefficients

Months contain different numbers of working days, and it may affect the final result of time series analysis. The X11 method allows for considering this circumstance by introducing weight coefficients for week days.

To set values of weight coefficients for each day of the week, use the Weight Coefficients side panel tab.

To display the tab

Set coefficient values for each day of the week. Weight coefficients are equal to one by default.

To normalize coefficients, that is, to reduce sum of all coefficients to seven, click the Normalize button. Normalization is executed using the formula:

Wi=Wi*7/S,

where:

Wi. Coefficient weight.
S. Unnormalized sum.
