Working Area (Desktop Application)

Separate tabs of working area show opened objects of the modeling container and corresponding control panels where the user can set up object properties and view various results. The contents and number of panels depend on the object, which is currently opened for edit, or on the operation, which is currently running. The example of a working area:

Each panel of a modeling container object can be collapsed or expanded or displayed as a separate window. A collapsed header displays the following information: panel name and a brief list of parameters defined using this panel. A triangle on the right

indicates whether a panel is collapsed or expanded. Panel headers are highlighted upon hovering.

Panel settings are saved for the current user and are applied to the same panel in all objects.

Click the header.
Select the Collapse or Expand context menu item of the panel header.

Some of the panels can be resized when expanded. Hover the cursor over the bottom border and the pointer changes to . Hold down the mouse button and stretch or shrink the panel to the required size.

Select the Detach context menu item of the panel header. The panel is placed under the drop-down panels. A detached panel can be placed anywhere in the modeling container window.

Close the dialog box.
Select the Hide context menu item of the dialog box header.

Use standard methods or press CTRL+W or CTRL+F4.

Use the commands of the panel's context menu:

Copy. Only the selected area is copied. To execute the command, press CTRL+C or CTRL+INSERT.
Copy Entire Table. The entire data table is copied regardless of the selected area.

This option is used for panels containing numeric data. Open the context menu of the panel header and select the Properties item. The dialog box opens:

Select the number of decimal places in the Decimal Places editor.

When the Use Thousands Separator checkbox is selected, a thousands separator can be used, which is a character that is used to separate groups of digits in integral part of a number. Below is the example of displaying a number without a separator (left) and with a separator (right):
