Getting Started with the Time Series Analysis Tool

Tool interfaces in the web application and in the desktop application are identical, and differences in functionality are given in appropiate commments.

To create a new workbook:

In the object navigator:

In the web application:

Click the Create button in the main menu and select the object type on the New Object side panel.
Select a time series database and select the Open item in the selected object's context menu.

In the desktop application:

Click the New Object > Workbook button in the Create group on the Home ribbon tab.
Select the Create > Workbook item in the object navigator's context menu.
Select a time series database and click the Open > In Time Series Analysis button in the Open group on the Home ribbon tab.
Select a time series database and select the Open With > Time Series Analysis item in the selected object's context menu.

In the Time Series Analysis tool select the New Workbook item in the Workbook main menu.

To open ready workbook for edit or view:

In the object navigator:

In the web application:

Select the Open item in the object'a context menu.
Double-click the object.
Press the ENTER key.

In the desktop application:

Select the object and click the Open button in the Open group on the Home ribbon tab.
Select the Open item in the object's context menu.
Double-click the object.

In the Time Series Analysis tool select the Open item in the Workbook main menu. In the dialog box that opens select the workbook in the object navigator.

NOTE. By default, work with the Time Series Analysis tool in the web application is unavailable, this object type is not displayed in the navigator. To use the tool, set the hideClasses field in config.json.

Main menu. It contains a list of commands that are used to execute various operations with a workbook.
Ribbon. It contains buttons for creating and setting up a workbook.
Side panel. It contains time series parameter settings and settings for managing data source dimensions.
Quick access toolbar. It contains frequently used commands.

Series tree. It displays a tree-like structure of series of the open data source.
Statistics panel. It is used to view characteristics of the object selected in the working area.
Working area. It is used to create a workbook.
