Setting Up Secondary Chart

To set up a secondary chart, go to the Secondary Chart tab of the Chart Parameters dialog box.

NOTE. The Chart Parameters dialog box can be used to set up secondary chart only in the desktop application when the Secondary Pie Chart or Secondary Histogram chart types are selected.

To set up view mode for the secondary histogram and secondary pie chart, select the required option in the View Mode list:

Both charts.
Primary chart only.
Secondary chart only.

To set up primary and secondary chart division, use the Charts Division parameters group:

In the Division Type list select type of division between primary and secondary charts.
Set up division type.

On selecting the Position division type, select the number of points to display in the secondary chart using the value editor. The minimum value is 0:

On selecting the Value division type, the user must set a threshold value. The values less than the specified threshold value, are placed to the secondary chart. The step of the value editor is 0.5. The mean value of all the chart values is set by default:

On selecting the Share of Each Point division type, select a percentage of the maximum chart value. All values less than the specified percent, are placed to the secondary chart. The step of the value editor is 5. The default value is 10:

On selecting the Total Share of All Points division type, specify percentage of the total sum of all chart values. The secondary chart will contain all values, starting with minimum ones, which sum is less than the selected percentage. The step of the value editor is 5. The default value is 10:

On selecting the Maximum Value division type, set the number of values in the primary chart. The primary chart will contain so many series with the maximum values, as selected in the value editor. The default value is 5:

NOTE. The Number of Values in the Primary Chart box does not consider value of the merged series.

When the Custom division type is selected, the user can set up composition of each part manually in the Chart Structure dialog box that opens on clicking the Set Up button:

To determine the series to be included in the charts, select the Custom division type in the Charts Division group on the Secondary Chart tab of the Chart Parameters dialog box, and click the Set Up button. The Chart Structure dialog box opens:

Move series between the lists to create pie chart parts. Select a series to move and execute one of the operations:

Double-click the series. The new element is added to the end of the list.
Click the or button. The new element is added to the end of the list.
Select the context menu option:

Move to Secondary Chart, Move to Primary Chart. The options are available when only one element is selected in the list.
Move to Secondary Chart. The option is available when the selected element is in the Primary Chart list.
Move to Primary Chart. The option is available when the selected element is in the Secondary Chart list.

To select all elements in the list, select one element in the required list and press CTRL+A.

Drag the required series. When dragged, new series are placed in the position of the element where the user released the mouse button.

After this the Primary Chart and Secondary Chart lists are created.

Set up secondary chart size and width of the gap between the primary and secondary charts in the Sizes (%) parameters group. Size of a secondary chart may vary from 5% to 200%. The value is calculated as a percentage of the size of the main part. Gap width is determined as a percentage of the primary chart radius, and may vary from 0% to 200%.

Connecting lines are the lines that show links between the secondary chart and the primary chart portion, which values are displayed in the secondary chart. Connecting lines are displayed by default.

To hide connecting lines, deselect the Connecting Lines checkbox.

To set up connecting lines format, click the Format button. The Connecting Lines Format dialog box opens:

Determine settings for connecting lines:

Line Type. Select line type in the drop-down list.
Line Thickness. Select the required line thickness in the drop-down list. Selecting the Custom item opens the Line Width dialog box where the user can specify the required line thickness manually or using the value editor.
Line Color. Select the required line color in the drop-down palette. To select a new color in the advanced color palette, click the Other button.
Transparency. Set up lines transparency using the keyboard or the value editor.

The specified settings are applied to connecting lines formatting.
