Purpose and Main Features

Dashboard is a method that is used to represent data of decision support system, that enables the user to display summary analytical information from a variety of sources using visual components.

This specification describes the structure of the dashboard XML view that can be used as an external format for the Dashboards block.

To save the dashboard in XML view, select the Save to File context menu item in the object navigator.

The Dashboard Constructive Elements section describes basic elements that comprise a dashboard. The element purpose and syntax of the element description in XML view (with a schematic example) are specified, and a list of element attributes is given.

The Properties of Typical Dashboard Blocks section contains properties of typical objects that form a dashboard. The object properties reveal its functional characteristics. Data types that are used to describe dashboard object properties are given in the Data Types section.

The Examples section contains XML descriptions of various dashboard objects.
