It is used by the IPivotDimensionLevelNumbering.Type property.

| 0 | Default. Numbering inherited from parent. |
| 1 | Through. Continuous numbering. |
| 2 | Hierarchical. Hierarchical numbering. |
| 3 | HierarchicalWithPrefix. Hierarchical numbering including parent into prefix. |
