Working with Cubes

By default, opening a cube creates its OLAP view or an express report as it is called in Foresight Analytics Platform.

After setup this express report can be used as default cube view. It automatically opens when the cube opens. For details see the Analytical Queries (OLAP) section.

NOTE. If a cube is used as a workbook data source it does not require dictionary binding to MDM repository.

To browse cube data, execute the following:

Double-click the data source.
Select the Open context menu item.
Select the View item on the Home ribbon tab in the desktop application.

The express report that has been previously saved for this source opens.

On opening a cube view in express report, check if cube source has any new dimensions absent in cube view.

NOTE. To remove a child express report, open the cube context menu and select the Remove Saved View item. This context menu item is not available if no express report has been saved for the source.
