Requirements for Topobase Availability

A topobase is required to be loaded in order to work with a map in the repository.

Topobase is a file in TBS or SVG format which is converted in various formats on loading to repository. The required format is selected automatically depending on where a topobase is used and which settings are set. To display data, the default topobase specified in the current repository is used.

In topobase map data is presented as a set of layers. Each layer is described by special attributes and presents a class of map data. For example, the layer with city coordinates or the layer describing country outliers.

The distribution kit of Foresight Analytics Platform may have necessary topobases with it.

NOTE. The topobase contains values including georeferencing attributes, that impacts that borders of overlapped maps do not match on connecting external map services in web application. If there are any problems with georeferencing, see the Solving Problems with Georeferencing on Connecting External Services article.
