Cell Autofill with Data

NOTE. Autofill is available, if report is in the edit mode, not in the view mode. The Dashboards tool enables the user to autofill if data editing is enabled. Autofill is available only in the Dashboards, Analytical Queries (OLAP), Time Series Analysis, Reports tools in the desktop application, and Modeling and Forecasting in the web application.

This option fills cells without changing source data.

To fill cells without changing source data:

By means of the mouse:

Put the mouse cursor over fill marker of the selected range and hold down the CTRL key. The cursor will look as a pointer - .
Hold down the main mouse button and drag the cursor to the required table area.

By means of the button menu:

Put the mouse cursor over fill marker of the selected range. The cursor will look as a pointer - .
Hold down the main mouse button and drag the cursor to the required table area. The bottom right corner of the obtained range displays the button.
Select the Copy item in the menu of the specified button.

By double-click with the main button of the mouse:

Put the mouse cursor over fill marker of the selected range. The cursor will look as a pointer - .
Double-click the main button of the mouse.

Copying Features

If one cell is selected, its value is copied:

If multiple cells are selected, their values are copied sequentially:

This option fills cells using linear trend.

Linear trend is a trend of time series changing described by linear equation.

To fill cells using linear trend:

Use mouse:

Put the mouse cursor over fill marker of the selected range. The cursor will look as a pointer - .
Hold down the main mouse button and drag the cursor to the required table area.

Use the button menu:

Put the mouse cursor over fill marker of the selected range. The cursor will look as a pointer - .

Select the Fill item in the menu of the specified button.

Fill Features

If one cell is selected, its value increases by one on autofill:

If multiple cells are selected, the linear trend value is calculated during autofill:

This option fills cells with the specified step.

To determine step value:

Apply one of the autofill options: copy or fill.
Select the Fill with Step item in the button's menu. The Fill with Step dialog box opens:

Specify required fill step.

NOTE. Fill step value may be negative.

If one cell is selected, its value changes by one step:

If several cells are selected, value of each cell changes by the specified step:

After executing autofill, the extended range is filled based on the contents of source range cells and selected autofill option. The

button is hidden on further editing the cells from the selected range. The autofill result is saved.

Cell Autofill Features

NOTE. Copying data with formatting is available only in the Reports tool. Deselect the Copy Formatting checkbox in the

button's menu in report to cancel copying of the above mentioned parameters.

To save copied formatting in the table visualizer, select the Use Sheet Formatting checkbox of the Parameters tab of the Table group of tabs. Otherwise, on saving or on undoing saving the copied formatting will be reset.

On autofill with double-clicking the main button of the mouse, cells are starting from the current selected range down to the table end; if a column contains cells with already entered data, autofill is performed to these cells.

How to Determine What will be Done: Copy or Fill?

If mouse cursor is put over fill marker of the selected range, the left mouse button is held down and the user is going to spread the range to necessary size, how to determine what will be done: copy or fill?

NOTE. If the CTRL key was held down on spreading, it is copied no matter the selected range and direction of spreading.
