Below are messages that can be shown during the update process:
When a table or MDM dictionary is updated and the updated object contains elements or records that are missing in the update, a dialog box may open, where the user should select the required action:
Save Elements in Update Dictionary. Elements will be saved.
Skip Dictionary Update. The dictionary will not be updated.
Apply in All Similar Cases. If the checkbox is selected, on occurring a similar situation the user-defined action is executed without additional requests.
On clicking the Continue button the dialog box closes and the selected operation is executed.
NOTE. This dialog box opens only if the Request in Dialog Box method of integrity limit has been selected on creating an update for this object. For a table this dialog is similar to the one mentioned above.
If the Distribute Access Permissions at the Database Level checkbox is selected in update options, request to update permissions at the database level is shown during the update. Click the No button to update permissions only at the platform level; to apply access permissions at the DBMS level, update the users.
If no parent object, from which an updated object consists, is found in the process of object update, the system shows a message that this object will be replaced. For example, a table is updated and the destination schema has no database required for update. In this case the object cannot be updated and an error occurs:
Clicking the Yes button opens a standard dialog box of object selection. In this case a database is selected. After selecting the database and clicking the OK button, the system requests whether this object will be used further if such an error occurs while executing the current update.
Clicking the No button cancels the object update (update is continued without selecting a database).
Clicking the Cancel button cancels the object update.
During the update an error may occur on restoring the object data from the update. This may be caused by the following reason: the update does not contain the objects, of which the updated object consists. Check, which objects are contained in the updated object and whether these objects are available in the repository or in the update.
If there are some unsolved conflicts related to the objects added into the version control system, the following message is displayed during the update process:
Object update can be skipped or applied. Selecting the Apply in All Similar Cases checkbox applies the selected operation to all objects with the same conflict. Clicking the Cancel button stops the entire update.
