Inserting Grid and Working with It

Select a grid cell and a context menu item:

• Insert Row Before. Insert a new row above the current cell.

• Insert Row After. Insert a new row after the current cell.

Select a grid cell and a context menu item:

• Insert Column Before. Insert a new column on the left of the current cell.

• Insert Column After. Insert a new column on the right of the current cell.

Select a grid cell and a context menu item:

• Delete Columns. Delete a column containing the current cell.

• Delete Rows. Delete rows containing the current cell.

Multiple grid cells can be merged into one, for example, to create a cell with a common header.

To merge cells:

1. Select the cells to be merged.

2. Select the Merge item in the context menu.

The cells are merged.

IMPORTANT. On merging the data is saved only in the top left cell. The contents of the other merged cell is deleted.

A cell can be unmerged if it is merged or if the neighbor cell has been split.

To unmerge cells:

1. Select the cell to be unmerged.

2. Select the Unmerge item in the context menu.

The cell is unmerged. The data contained in the cell to be unmerged is moved to the top left cell.

To split the selected cell to a number of new cells, use the Split Cell item in the context menu. The drop-down menu opens, in which specify the required number of columns and rows.

NOTE. A merged cell cannot be split. Use the cells unmerge.

To resize a row:

1. Point the mouse cursor on the row border. The mouse cursor must turn into a two-headed arrow.

2. Hold down the left mouse button and stretch or shrink the row to the required size.

The column is resized in the same way.

To set up basic parameters of a grid or cell, use the Block tab on the side panel.
