Log is a repository object used to keep track of the operations executed during ETL task execution.
A log is a table that initially contains a collection of fields to be logged. Additional fields can be added when a log is created and edited in the object navigator.
For logging the operations, specify a log in the ETL task properties.
Log. In the drop-down list of repository objects select a log, to which system messages about ETL task import or export are written. The Create button provides a possibility to create a new log and to edit its structure.
Use Batch Data Processing. Batch data processing enables the user to process import or export records in parts (batches). The number of records processed in one batch is specified in the Batch Size box.
Display the Window with the Results of the Task Execution. The window with task execution results is displayed:
Logged operations of an ETL task:
Execution start.
Execution error.
Skip records.
Add records.
End of execution.
To browse a log, select the Task > View Log main menu item.
