Getting Started with Prognoz Excel Add-In

• Main menu. It contains a list of commands that are used to execute various operations with report.

• Ribbon. It contains the tabs:

• The PROGNOZ tab. It is used to work with Prognoz Excel Add-In.

• The Table tab. It is used to work with tables. The set of buttons on the tab depends on the report type.

• The Title tab. It is used to set up report title.

• The Hierarchy tab. It is used to edit and set up dimension display, it is available on using analytical queries when the Selection group of tabs is selected on the side panel.

• The Selection tab. It is used to set up dimension element selection, it is available on using analytical queries when the Selection group of tabs is selected on the side panel.

• The Chart tab. It is used to set up graphical data view, it is available on using time series analysis.

• The Calculations tab. It is used to transform time series data, it is available on using time series analysis.

• The Advanced Analytics tab. It is used for data mining, it is available on using time series analysis.

• Formula bar. It is used to enter data and formulas to table cells and show addresses of selected cells.

• Working area. It is used to build a report.

• Side panel. It is used to control data source dimensions, set up time series analysis parameters and set up active visualizer parameters. The set of buttons on the panel depends on the report type.

• The Title panel. It is used to view and work with report title.

• The Series Tree panel. It is used to work with the series that are contained in a time series database, it is available on using time series analysis.

• The Validation Rules panel. It is used to display applied validation rules.

• Chart panel. It is used to display chart.

• Results panel. It is used to get summary statistics and graphical data view of time series, it is available on using time series analysis.

• Status bar. It is used to display the state of the current cell, selected mode and zoom.

Add-in language should be the same as the Microsoft Office language. The language of internal dialog boxes such as logon dialog box and dialog box to select file from the repository matches the interface language of Prognoz Platform 9.

• Add-in start can be locked by the Microsoft Excel security control center.
  To unlock the add-in and get more information, please refer to Microsoft Excel description.

• The add-in cannot be started if its version differs from the installed version of Prognoz Platform 9.
  Install the add-in of the same version as Prognoz Platform 9.

• After installing the add-in to Microsoft Office the PROGNOZ tab may not be displayed on the ribbon.
