Creating an Update Package

Update package creation provides business application integrity control taking into account versions of connected components.

Creating an update package and transferring updates between development, testing and operation systems can be performed using update routes that are set up in the Update Control System tool. To do this, repositories and business applications should be connected to an update control system.

To connect to an update control system

To create a business application update, use the Create Update dialog box.

Open the dialog box

To create an update package, follow the steps:

1. Determine update package name and application version after the update has been installed:

2. Click the Save button.

3. If the repository and application are connected to update control system, the created update package will be registered on the Installed Updates tab in the update control system window for the business application or repository, for which the update was created.

4. If the repository or business application are not connected to update control system, a standard file saving dialog box opens:

• Determine name and location to save the update package.

• Click the Save button.

NOTE. The file with the update package has the *.updpack. extension.

After the update package has been created, install updates to the required repository.
