Selecting and Setting Up Data Sources

Data sources determine the objects, based on which a calculation block will be executed.

Data sources can be selected and set up on the Sources page in the calculation block editing wizard:

To select and set up a data source:

  1. Click the Add button. The object selection dialog box opens, in which specify the data source.

  2. Set up links between data source and data consumer dimensions. To do this, select the dimension and click the Properties button. The Set Up Links dialog box opens, in which set link parameters. To automatically create links by all equal attributes of all dimensions, click the Link All button.

As a result, the data source is added and set up. If required, similarly add other data sources.

To delete the data source, click the Delete button.

Setting Up Links Between Data Source and Data Consumer Dimensions

To set up links between data source and data consumer dimensions, use the Set Up Links dialog box:

Setup order:

  1. Select the attribute to be linked in the left list in the data consumer dimension. The list contains only data consumer dimensions, for which filtering is set up.

  2. Select the corresponding attribute in the data source in the right list.

  3. Click the Link button.

As a result, the link by attributes between dimensions is set. The linked attributes will be highlighted in bold. If required, similarly add other attribute links.

To delete links between attributes, select them in the data consumer and data source and click the Unlink button.
