Setting Up Update Options

Version update options for Prognoz Platform 9 program files can be set up using:

Starting the Tuner.exe file. See details in the Setting Up Repositories and Autoupdate Using File section.
The Update tab in the Parameters dialog box. To open the dialog box, click the Settings button in the login dialog box:

The tabs contain the following options:

Check and Install Updates:
- Do not Check. The update is not executed.
- Ask Me Before Installing Updates. If a later version is detected in the source, than the one installed, on Prognoz Platform 9 startup the user is prompted to install the update.
- Set Automatic Update (Recommended). If a later version is detected in the source, Prognoz Platform 9 is automatically updated at the start, no additional requests are shown.

NOTE. A number of features should be taken into account on setting up an update: see the Update Using cfg.exe File and Update Features sections.

Source:
- Folder. If the radio button is selected, specify the path to the directory containing files of new Prognoz Platform 9 versions.
- DB Server. If the radio button is selected, specify parameters of connection to database server containing files of new Prognoz Platform 9 versions:
- - DB Server. Specify name of the database server containing files of new Prognoz Platform 9 versions.
  - DBMS Type. Select the type of the DBMS, on which the setup is executed (Oracle or Microsoft SQL).
  - Update Label. Select from the list an update label, which was assigned to the files on writing to the database server. Labels are modified every time the list is opened. If the list cannot be obtained, the system informs that server connection failed. Labels are created when the MSI version of Prognoz Platform 9 is copied to database server.
