Object navigator - is a tool that used to visually present a repository and to work with its objects. The object navigator provides:
Executing all operations with objects: create, edit, move, set up access permissions, search for objects, and so on.
Forming repository visual structure by means of creating hierarchical structure of folders and object distribution to these folders.
Running data analysis tools and other Prognoz Platform 9 tools.
Connecting and working in several repositories simultaneously, and so on.
On starting the object navigator is it checked if a default database is set. If the database is not set, it is prompted to create a new database or select the current one as a default database.

The navigation window consists of two components:
Folders tree. Shows folders hierarchy for the selected section. Composite objects, such as assembly, .NET assembly, time series database, modeling container, MDM repository and mobile application, act as folders and are also displayed in a tree:
Objects list. It shows objects of the folder selected in the tree. Some object are allowed to view without opening, for example, workspaces, MDM repositories, and so on.
To exit the object navigator:
In the desktop application:
Select the Exit item in the Navigator main menu.
Press ALT + 4.
In the web application:
Close the object navigator page.

Each opened repository has its tab. Operations available in the desktop application object navigator:
Open a repository:
Select the Open Repository item in the Navigator main menu.
Press F3.
Go to the required repository. Click the name of the appropriate tab.
Disconnect a repository:
Select the Disconnect item in the context menu of the repository tab.
Select the Close Repository item in the Navigator main menu.
Click with the mouse wheel on the repository tab.
Click the button on the repository tab.
Press CTRL + F4.
NOTE. Each repository opens in a separate browser tab in the web application.
