Selecting Data Source

To select a data source:

Select report or object type:

In the Report group on the Foresight ribbon tab select the report type: express report, workbook, or regular report.
Select the report type in the Paste group on the Foresight ribbon tab: table, chart or expression.

Select the data source from the drop-down menu of the report or object button:

From Repository. The repository dialog box opens. Enter the required repository and select the data source in the Select Object dialog box

NOTE. If a connection to a repository is established on working with the add-in, the menu of object selection opens on selecting report objects If the option that supposes selecting of a data source is selected for expression, after selecting a data source the Insert Values From dialog box opens.

From File. The dialog box for selecting the data source saved as an express report in the PPEXPRESS format (*.ppexpress) or a regular report in the PPREPORT format (*.ppreport) opens.

NOTE. The menu item is disabled for the Time Series Analysis data source.

Insert Expression. An expression calculated according to the custom formula is inserted to the report. The Value dialog box opens.

NOTE. The menu item is available for the Expression object type, if on working with add-in the connection to repository has been already established.

Known Sources. If a connection to a repository is established on working with the add-in, this menu contains a list of repositories that can be selected as a data source.

After selecting data source, go to the Adding Object or Report from Repository step.
