Syntax

SumXMY2(X, Y)

Parameters

X. A cell range containing values of the first array.

Y. A cell range containing values of the second array.

NOTE. The dimensions of the first and the second array must match. Otherwise, the function returns 0.

Description

It returns the sum of squares of the differences of corresponding values in two arrays.

Example

Formula Result Description
=SumXMY2(B6:E6, B7:E7) 39,96 The sum of squares of differences for the specified values contained in the cell ranges between B6 and E6 and between B7 and E7. The B6:E6 range contains the following numbers: 3; 4; 3,6; -0,2; the B7:E7 range contains the following numbers: B7:E7 - 2; -1,4; 0,8; 1,2.
