Adding a Named Range

To work with the tool in Foresight Analytics Platform 10, use the new interface.

Named ranges are used to quickly find the required cell range and on formula creation.

To create a named range, click the

Named Ranges button in the Named Ranges group of the Formulas ribbon tab. The dialog box opens:

To add a new named range:

In the Named Ranges dialog box put cursor in the Range edit box and select the required cell range.
Enter the required range name in the Name edit box. A range name may consist of Latin letters, numbers and underscore character.

NOTE. The numbers and letters combinations in the A1 and R1C1 formats cannot be used because it can be seen as reference styles. On specifying range name in one of formats, the Add button becomes unavailable.

Click the Add button.

The range will be added to the list of named ranges.

To delete the named range, click the Delete button in the Named Ranges dialog box.

When working with the report, the list of named ranges appears as a combobox in the address bar:

When one of the range names is selected in the list, this range is highlighted on a report sheet.
