Selecting Cells

Table cells and table sheet cells are selected in the same way. Table heading and sidehead are identical to headers of columns and rows of regular report table sheet.

NOTE. Working with selected range is available only in the edit mode of the report.
When the Deny Selection checkbox is selected in the Protection group of elements of the Other tab, the cell becomes unselectable on opening the report in the view mode. The context menu for this cell will not be called.

To select a cell:

Click on it.
Go to the cell by using the UP, DOWN, RIGHT, LEFT keys.

To select the top left table cell, press CTRL+HOME.

To select the leftmost cell of the current row, press:

HOME.
CTRL+LEFT.

To select the rightmost cell of the current row, press CTRL+RIGHT.

To select the topmost cell of the current column, press CTRL+PAGE UP.

To select the bottommost cell of the current column, press CTRL+PAGE DOWN.

To select the rightmost non-empty cell, press END.

To select the entire row:

Click row header.
Select any cell of the required row and press SHIFT+SPACE.

After this the row is selected:

To select the entire column:

Click column header.
Select any cell of the required column and press CTRL+SPACE.

After this the column is selected:

To select several rows, execute one of the operations:

Click the required row header, hold down the mouse button and move the cursor to the required row header.
Click the required row header, hold down the SHIFT key and click the required row header, after which release the SHIFT key.

After this several rows are selected:

To select several columns, execute one of the operations:

Click the required column header, hold down the mouse button and move the cursor to the required column header.
Click the required column header, hold down the SHIFT key and click the required column header, after which release the SHIFT key.

After this several columns are selected:

To select the range, click the required cell and:

Hold down the mouse button, move the mouse cursor to the opposite corner, then release the mouse button:

Hold down the SHIFT key and click the required cell.
Hold down the SHIFT key and press the UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT keys.

A compound range is a range consisting of several uncrossed ranges and/or single cells.

To get a compound range:

Select the required cell range or a single cell.
Hold down the CTRL key and select other required ranges or single cells.

After executing the specified operations a compound range is selected:

To select the entire data sheet:

Click the top left corner of the table at the intersection of row and column headers.

NOTE. This method of selection is relevant only for regular report.

Press CTRL+A or CTRL+SHIFT+SPACE.

NOTE. If the focused cell does not belong to any data area, all cells in the spreadsheet are selected. The data range area is selected in the beginning if focused cell is within the data range. Press the hotkey combination again to select all cells in the sheet.

After this the entire data sheet is selected:

NOTE. To navigate through cells of the selected range, use the ENTER key. In this case the contour of the selected range is kept.

Fill Marker

A fill marker is a square marker at the corner of the selected range or single cell contour.

Depending on the chosen cell selection method, fill marker may be positioned differently:

NOTE. When the selected range is moved to any merged cell, a warning is displayed. Moving is cancelled.

NOTE. When the selected range is copied to any merged cell, a warning is displayed. Copying is cancelled.
