Setting Up Criterion Function Expression

1. Make sure that the results panel is displayed.

2. Select criterion function in the working area.

3. Go to the Specification tab on the results panel.

To set a method of criterion function optimization, use the Method of Criterion Function Optimization parameter. To solve the problem of:

• Minimization of criterion function, select the Minimize radio button.

• Maximization of criterion function, select the Maximize radio button.

1. Point the cursor to the variable, which is required to add as a factor, in the working area. The pointer will look as follows: .

2. Hold down the mouse key and move the cursor to the criterion function. If the factor can be added to the expression, the criterion function is highlighted, and the connection is displayed as a dashed line:

3. Release the mouse button.

The factor is added to the criterion function expression.

Various additional operations can be executed with a factor: factor lag setup, factor data transformation setup, and so on.

To execute additional operations with factors included into criterion function expression, use the button. The button is located to the left from the factor name.

1. Select the connection linking the factor and the criterion function.

2. Press the DELETE key or click the Delete button on the Home ribbon tab.

The factor is deleted from the criterion function expression.
