This panel is used to determine basic model parameters:
Specify the type of calculated input-output balance problem:
Direct Problem. Finding out final use: X -> Y. To solve, use the equation: Y = X - A · X. Where:
Y. Final use.
X. Gross output.
Inverse Problem. Finding out gross output: Y -> X. To solve, use the equation: X = (E - A)-1 · Y. Where:
Y. Final use.

Set output variable:
If the Direct Problem radio button is selected, the Final Use (Y) box, where the final use variable must be specified, is displayed in this section.
If the Inverse Problem radio button is selected, the Gross Output (X) box, where the gross output variable must be specified, is displayed in this section.
Determine slice industries/goods and services:
If the Direct Problem radio button is selected, determine the slice of industries/goods and services of the variable that will be arranged by rows.
If the Inverse Problem radio button is selected, determine the slice of industries/goods and services of the variable, that will be arranged by columns.
