  1. Select the disconnect from VCS option:

NOTE. Team Foundation Server records history of the files added to this server. When objects are disconnected from the repository, information on the corresponding files remains on the VCS server. It is impossible to reconnect disconnected objects to version control system as the server already stores information on corresponding files. An object can be added to version control system after changing the settings of repository connection to VCS server. Do not disconnect objects in the working version of the repository. It may be needed to disconnect objects on changing settings of a cloned repository version before changing settings of connection to version control system.

IMPORTANT. Total repository disconnection from version control system will result in deleting all settings for users working in this repository.

  1. Click the Disconnect from VCS button.

After executing the operations the repository is disconnected from version control system.
