To automatically refresh data on changing the selectionThe tool supports interface of Foresight Analytics Platform 9 or earlier.
Automatic refresh enables the user to refresh data on changing of selection in a block or in the specified period. By default, automatic refresh is executed each time selection is changed.
All data refresh settings are saved with a dashboard.
To automatically refresh data on changing the selection
Blocks are refreshed as follows:
If new dimension elements are created, they are added to drop-down hierarchical element list without the selection.
If the elements are deleted, they are deselected and removed from the list of dimension elements. If the selected element of the fixed dimension is deleted, the next element in the list is selected.
If a new dimension is created, it is added to the list of fixed dimensions, the first element is selected.
The deleted dimension is deleted from the list of dimensions.
When automatic refresh is disabled, after selection change blocks are empty and contain only the Show Data hyperlink. To fill a block with data:
Follow the Show Data hyperlink in the block.
Click the 
Refresh button on the Data ribbon tab.
Data is displayed in the block.
TIP. To reopen a data source used by the selected object, select the Reopen Data Sources item in the drop-down menu of the Refresh button on the Data ribbon tab. The option is available only in the desktop application.
