Adding Interactive Report Contents Controls

To show or hide the panel, click the Controls button located:

• In the Tools and Panels group on the View ribbon tab if a report was opened in the edit mode.

• In the View group on the Home tab if a report was opened in the view mode.

When working in the edit mode one can select panel position option on report sheet:

• . The panel is positioned horizontally at the top report border.

• . The panel is positioned vertically at the right report border.

• . The panel is positioned horizontally at the bottom report border.

• . The panel is positioned vertically at the left report border.

• . The Controls panel is not displayed.

Position of the Controls panel is set up for the entire report.

To add a control:

• Click the Control button in the Data Areas group of the Insert ribbon tab.

• Select the Add context menu item on the Controls panel.

• On using data area, drag dimension from the Data Sources and Data Slices panel to the Controls panel.

After executing one of these actions a control is added to the panel.

To edit properties of the selected control:

• Select the Properties context menu item on the Controls panel.

• Select control and go to the Format group of tabs of side panel.

After executing one of the operations, make necessary changes.

Order of controls is set up individually for each report sheet.

To change order in the list of controls if the panel is positioned horizontally:

• Select the Left or Right context menu item of the selected control.

• Drag control to the required position.

To change order in the list of controls if the panel is positioned vertically:

• Select the Up or Down context menu items of the selected control.

• Drag control to the required position.

After executing one of these actions the order of controls is changed.

TIP. To set up displaying of control on the particular report sheet, use the Show for Sheet parameter.

To delete a control, select the Delete context menu item on the Controls panel.
