Foresight Analytics Platform enables the user to organize data warehouse of any complexity and architecture or set to the existing warehouse.
All data warehouse objects are included in one repository. All operations with objects in the repository are executed using object navigator.
To edit a dimension of data sources in the tools and to open wizards of the objects (database, data import, all cube types, all dictionary types, tables, procedures, DBMS commands), one will need the feature PP_DWDesigner. To work with data models, one will need the PP_SelfService feature.
The Data Import tool is used to load data from the selected source to a standard cube or time series database. The import wizard enables the user to load data to repository using minimal settings and create all the objects required to access this data: cubes or time series databases, dictionaries, and tables.

Connecting to external databases is used to get access to data that is stored in external sources. Connecting to external databases allows for storing actual database settings and getting access to objects from another repository.

Structuring data sets allows for creating data structures, creating basic elements for multidimensional data sources and managing master data. Tables, data models, dictionaries, cubes and time series databases are considered as structured data sets.
Before starting data structuring, connect to external databases.

The ETL Task tool is used to extract data from external sources, transform and load to data consumers. To get started with an ETL task, there should be structured data sets and connection to external databases.
