Connecting to Proxy Server

Working with the Data Import and ETL Task tools may require access to the Internet to get or send data. On data import, the Internet is not required, if the REST data source is used. The Internet is used in the ETL task to provide work of the following connectors:

Connector to the REST data source.
Connector to the JSON data source.
Connector to the JSON data consumer.

If it is proxy server, which is used to make access from current local network to Internet, proxy server settings can be determined in the repository settings. To determine proxy server settings, use the Connection tab in the Parameters dialog box.

By default, proxy server is not used, all queries to the Internet are sent directly. To enable proxy server query redirection, select the Use Proxy Server checkbox, after which all the other settings are available:

Select proxy server setting identification method:

Automatic setup. Proxy server settings are determined automatically by pinging computers in the local network.
Manual Setup. Specify proxy server name or IP address in the URL box and port in the Port box.

If proxy server requires authentication of the user who tries to connect, select the Use Proxy-Server Authentication checkbox and determine user credentials in the Username and Password boxes.

In the Do Not Use Proxy Server for Addresses Beginning With list, addresses with direct connection without using proxy server can be enumerated and separated with a comma.

The specified proxy server settings are saved to the current PC registry and are used to to work in any repository with created description.
