Tool interfaces in the web application and in the desktop application are identical, and differences in functionality are given in appropiate commments.

Data Import

To import data from external providers to the time series database a special child object named the Import Object is used. Working with an import object is available only in the desktop application.

Import object features:

Import from:
- Time series database
- OLE DB
- Microsoft Excel (*.xls; *.xlsx).
- Microsoft Access (*.mdb; *.accdb).
- Microsoft XML (*.xml).
- Text files (*.txt; *.csv).
- Clipboard.
Scale data.
Adjustment to data without prior preparation of source files.
Import composite values and possible splitting of composite values, and so on.
