Foresight Analytics Platform applications differ in Linux OS and Windows OS.
When BI server is to be installed in Linux OS, the foresight-fp10.x-biserver*.deb/rpm distribution includes the following applications:
IMPORTANT. Starting of axis2_http_server for production purposes is prohibited.
echoid. It is used to get computer locking code and it is necessary during Foresight Analytics Platform activation via RMS.
lsinit. It is used to initialize the licensing subsystem if licenses are time restricted. It is relevant for Foresight Analytics Platform activation via RMS.
PP.Util. It is used to execute various additional actions during BI server setup. The application can be started using the PP.Util_start.sh script.
RepoManager. It is used to start the repository manager. The application can be started using the RepoManager_start.sh script.
Scheduler. It starts the task scheduler to execute container tasks.
UpdateManager. It is used to install update of repository objects. The application can be started using the UpdateManager_start.sh script.
When the desktop application/BI server is to be installed in Windows OS, the FP10Full, FP10BIServer, FP10Standard distributions include the following applications:
Adm.exe. The security manager opens as a stand-alone application. When the roles of information security administrator (ISA) and application administrator (AA) are separated, the security manager is used by ISA in his work.
axis2_http_server.exe. Test version of BI server used for debugging and issue diagnostics.
IMPORTANT. Run of axis2_http_server.exe in production conditions is prohibited.
Cfg.exe. It is used to update Foresight Analytics Platform, after which the user logs in to the system. Update is executed if the source contains a later assembly of Foresight Analytics Platform, otherwise login is executed. The standard login dialog box opens after the update.
NOTE. When the FP10Full distribution version is installed, the system login is executed via the Studio.exe startup file, otherwise the login is executed via the PP.exe file.
echoid.exe. It is used to get computer locking code and it is necessary during Foresight Analytics Platform activation via RMS.
Express.exe. It is used to start the Analytical Queries (OLAP) tool.
LicMngr.exe. It starts the license manager.
LngMngr.exe. A dialog box opens to determine language settings of Foresight Analytics Platform.

PP.exe. It is used to log in to Foresight Analytics Platform to view repository objects. After this file is started, the standard login dialog box opens, in which the user can select a repository.
PP.Util.exe. It is used to execute various additional actions during BI server setup.
RepoMngr.exe. It starts the repository manager.
Report.exe. It is used to start the Reports tool.
Scheduler.exe. It starts the task scheduler to execute scheduled resource intensive tasks.
Studio.exe. It is used to log in to Foresight Analytics Platform to fully work with repository objects. After this file is started, the standard login dialog box opens, in which the user can select a repository.
Tuner.exe. It is used for automatic setup of repository parameters.

NOTE. When executing custom setup of Foresight Analytics Platform, one can exclude the following applications from the installation: Adm.exe, Express.exe, RepoMngr.exe, Report.exe. The excluded from the installation applications Adm.exe, Express.exe, Report.exe are available in the object navigator.
