Inserting and Setting Up Control Blocks

A control block is used to check entered data in the Interactive Data Entry Forms extension. The feature is available if the calculation algorithm with a control block was selected when building a data entry form.

To create a new control block:

In the object navigator click the Create button in the main menu and select the object type on the New Object side panel.
In the Calculation Algorithms extension execute one of the operations:

Select the Control Block item in the drop-down menu of the Add Block button on the toolbar.
Select the Create > Control Block item in the working area's context menu.

To edit a ready control block:

In the object navigator select the block and execute one of the operations:

Select the Edit item in the block's context menu.
Select the Edit in a New Tab item in the block's context menu.
Select the Edit in a New Window item in the block's context menu.
Press F4.

In the Calculation Algorithms extension select the Edit item in the block's context menu located in the calculation tree or in the working area.

The users who have object read-only permissions can open a ready control block for edit without being able to save changes. For details see the Working in Object Navigator section.

Creating and editing are executed in the control block editing wizard, in which block parameters can be set up:

A control block can be set up similarly to calculation block setup and include the following steps:

NOTE. The Save and Close item is available only on opening control block for edit.
