Modeling in the Web Application

In the web application, modeling and forecasting are executed in the working area.

A working area is the main functional part of modeling and forecasting tool that enables the user to create the following objects and to set up interaction between them:

A model is an object that calculates equations one by one to get the output data in output variables. After finishing the calculation the results are loaded to variables.

A variable is an object that is used to get source data and load calculation results.

An equation is an object that is used to calculate output variables by transforming input variables using statistical and mathematical methods. Calculations are made taking into account calendar frequency of the model (years, half-years, quarters, months and days).

A modeling scenario is an object that is used to create a series in the output variable to further load data obtained after the calculation to this series.

Modeling Process

In the web application, modeling means creating a model. Modeling variables are created within a model. If the variables have some relationships, they form an equation. The set of equations is a model that can be calculated according to one or several scenarios.
