Setting Up DBMS Command

The DBMS Command page is used to set a database, connection with which is used to run the command, and a DMBS command text.

Database. Use the drop-down list of repository objects to select the database. The driver, specified in settings of the selected database, is highlighted with bold font, is set automatically when changing a database.
Driver. Select the driver type in the drop-down list. For details about available drivers see the Supported DBMS subsection. The driver highlighted with the bold font, which is used in the selected database, is displayed in the Driver list by default. If required, it is available to select another driver and determine the SQL query text for this driver. It is relevant if the repository is expected to be used on servers with various DBMS types and settings of repository database will be changed.

In the Command Text input box enter the command text for the driver in SQL language.

NOTE. On entering the command text, take into account differences of SQL language that may appear in different DBMS versions.

Use the Apply for All DBMS button to set the query text for all DBMS, that means that when the driver is changed, the query text remains the same. Clicking this button returns a request to confirm the operation. Confirmation is required if at least one driver differs from the current one, has non-empty query text.
