Workbook Export

On exporting to the XLS or XLSX format the Options of Export to <format> dialog box opens:

Export options:

• Expanders. By default this checkbox is deselected. When the checkbox is selected, the displayed expanders in the current view of workbook table are exported. If expanders are collapsed then all nested table elements and expanded/collapsed expanders are exported. Expanders are available for Microsoft Excel tools.

NOTE. The option is available only on exporting to XLSX format.

• Charts as Images. By default, the checkbox is selected, and charts are exported as images in the EMF format, they can be edited as images by means of Microsoft Excel. If the checkbox is deselected, charts are exported as objects that can be edited as charts by means of Microsoft Excel.

NOTE. The charts that do not support XLS and XLSX formats are exported as images. When exporting waterfall chart to the XLSX format, chart appearance will differ from the source format due to mismatching settings; when exporting to the XLS format, the system suggest using the XLSX format.

• Whole Report. By default, the radio button is selected, and all workbook sheets are exported.

• Selected Sheets. To export selected sheets, select this radio button and select checkboxes that correspond to the required sheets.

Each data view in the output file is located in a separate sheet.

Features of export to Excel:

• Cell texture in the output file may not match with that set up in the workbook.

• Conditional formatting is supported only by Microsoft Excel 2007 or later. Some designations in the output file may differ from designations used in the workbook.

• If a table uses cells, which format is set up using cell editor, the current value specified in the cell during export is exported.

• If the table displays expanders, the export is performing according to conditions:

• If the table heading or sidehead contains more than one hierarchical dimension then expanders will be exported only for the first dimension located in the first table column or row. If expanders are hidden for the first dimension, then displayed expanders of the next dimension are exported.

• If the table heading or sidehead contains several merged dimensionsthen expanders are exported only for the first column or row taking into account the merge. If the first dimension contains several levelswhich are located in several columns or rows then only zero level expanders are exported.

• If the table contains footnotes:

• By default footnotes are not exported. Footnote numbers are exported if the appropriate setting is determined by means of the Fore language. Footnote text is not exported.

• Format of the cells with footnotes is changed to text. Consequently:

• Chart appearance may differ from the chart appearance in the source workbook.

• Formulas with defined footnotes are shown as text.

• Formulas that refer to footnote cells are not calculated.

On exporting a workbook containing cell formatting, only one formatting type is loaded into PowerPoint presentation with the following priority:

1. Image.

2. Conditional formatting.

3. Cell fill.

Export to the *.png format is available only in the web application. To do it in the PP.xml file set true for theClientExportPng attribute in the <export> section.

On exporting the workbook to the *.png format, the output file displays the workbook contents as in the web application at export.
