System Requirements

This subsection contains system requirements that should be met by DBMS servers, client computers, web servers, and mobile application servers. All software can be deployed both at physical servers and in virtual environments. Deploying Applications Based on Foresight Analytics Platform is available in Windows and Linux.

Working with Desktop Application

To work with the desktop application, the system is formed using Foresight Analytics Platform, which assumes presence of:

Database server with one of the supported DBMS installed.
License server that is used to activate Foresight Analytics Platform with network license and manage the number of simultaneously working users if this limitation is set.
Application server that is used for suspended tasks execution.
Client computers, which have Foresight Analytics Platform.

Get familiar with the requirements for the database server, the license server, the application server, the client computer and with the requirements for operating system settings.

Working with Web Application

To work with the web application, the system is formed using Foresight Analytics Platform, which assumes presence of:

Database server with one of the supported DBMS installed.
License server that is used to activate Foresight Analytics Platform with network license and manage the number of simultaneously working users if this limitation is set.
Application server that is used for suspended tasks execution
BI server, at which the BI Server web service is installed.
Web server, at which web application back end for Linux OS or Windows OS is installed.
Client computer connected to the network, in which the web server is located.

NOTE. BI server, application server and web application can be located on the same physical server. On executing resource-intensive tasks, locate application server and BI server at different physical servers.

Get familiar with system requirements for hardware and software for the database server, the license server, the web application server, the application server, the BI server and client computers.

Working with Mobile Application

To work with the mobile application, the system is formed using Foresight Analytics Platform, which assumes presence of:

Client computer with the desktop application, which is used for publication.
Mobile application server, which is included to the BI server and virtual directory placed on it.
Mobile device with access to the network, in which the mobile application server is located.

NOTE. In order the desktop application works, the system must be created, which requires database server and client computers (see above).
