A standard cube is used for data representation from several different sources. Dictionaries and datasets are required to create a standard cube. The specificity of this cube is that data for facts can be obtained from dataset or calculated by a custom formula.
The standard cube wizard contains a number of basic pages described in the Working with Wizards section. The following pages are also available in the wizard:
Facts. A list of cube facts, which will then reflect actual cube data, is created.
Facts Binding. Facts are linked to data source fields containing values of cube cells.
Dimensions. Multidimensional cube structure is created, and each dimension is linked to data source fields, which values will be used to define cube cell coordinates.
Units and Indicators. Dictionaries are specified, which are used to organize automatic data scaling into required measurement units.
Relations. A list of specific elements, that can be used in calculated facts and enable to get and use point values with other coordinates in each calculation point, is generated
Calculated Facts. Cube facts that are not directly linked with data source fields, but calculated by formulas, are set up.
Managing Parameters. Passing of parameter values to open objects used in the cube is set up.
Controlling Dimensions. Interaction between parametric cube dimensions and other dimensions is set up.
Data Aggregation. Data aggregation by various levels of cube dimensions is set up.
NOTE. The standard cube wizard is available only in the desktop application.
