Variance(Parameters: Array)
Parameters. Variable.
It returns the variable variance.
If more than one variable is specified in Parameters, then variance for corresponding variable points will be calculated. For example, variance for points for 2018 by all variables.
Variables in Parameters must be specified via comma.
Calculation period setup is available for function. To do it, use the SetPeriod function by specifying it at any place of input array.
To calculate function without taking into account empty values, use the IgnoreMissing parameter by specifying it at any place of input array. Available parameter values:
True. Default value. Calculation does not take into account empty values
False. Calculation takes into account empty values.
Formula | Result | Application |
= Variance({Brazil|BCA}, False, SetPeriod(2000,2010)) | The Brazil|BCA series variance is calculated taking into account empty values for the period from 2000 to 2010. |
It can be used in formulas of calculated series of time series database and in formulas of attribute-based models of modeling container. |
= Variance(X1) | The X1 factor variance is calculated. |
It can be used in model variable-based formulas of modeling container. |
= Variance(1, 2, 3, 4) | 1.67 |
it can be used in any expressions. |
