StDv

Syntax

StDv(Parameters: Array)

Parameters

Parameters. Variable.

Description

It returns the standard deviation for the specified variable.

Comments

If more than one variable is specified in Parameters, then standard deviation of corresponding variable points will be calculated. For example, standard deviation of points for 2018 by all variables.

Variables in Parameters must be specified via comma.

It is available to set up calculation period for function. To do it, use the SetPeriod function by specifying it at any place of input array.

To calculate function without taking into account empty values, use the IgnoreMissing parameter by specifying it at any place of input array. Available parameter values:

Example

Formula Result Application
= StDv({Brazil|BCA})

Standard deviation of the Brazil|BCA series observations is calculated.

It can be used in formulas of calculated series of time series database and in formulas of attribute-based models of modeling container.
= StDv(X1, X2, False, SetPeriod(2000,2010))

The standard deviation of corresponding points of the X1 and X2 factors will be calculated taking into account empty values for the period from 2000 to 2010.

It can be used in model variable-based formulas of modeling container.
= StDv(1,2,3.5,4,5)

1,6

it can be used in any expressions.
