To quickly create an equation:
Select the input and output variables.
Point the mouse cursor to the center of the input variable. The cursor should change to .
Hold down the main mouse button and drag the pointer to the output variable. If a link can be established, the variable is highlighted and the link is shown as a dotted line:
Release the main mouse button. A dialog box to select method of equation calculation opens. The set of available methods depends on parameters of input and output variables:
By default, the user is prompted to create a linear regression equation.
After selecting the method a link between variables is established, and the equation is created. The color of output variable background changes:
To quickly create further equations, use the above described method or the following method:
Select the input variable.
Click the Link button on the Home ribbon tab. A list of recent variables, which were linked, opens.
Select the output variable, which should be linked.
The equation is created. The equation type matches that of the equation used for the selected output variable.
