Data update is required after changing block selection and after changing source data.
The following is available in express reports:
Refresh data in the selected block. Click the Refresh button on the Home ribbon tab.
Reopen a data source of the selected block. Select the Reopen Data Sources item in the drop-down menu of the Refresh button on the Home ribbon tab.
NOTE. The feature is available only in the desktop application.
Autoupdate of the entire dashboard. Click the Autoupdate button on the Home ribbon tab.
Data sources and table data will be updated. All data update settings are saved together with the express report.
Data update is executed as follows:
If new dimension elements are created, they are added to a drop-down hierarchical element list without the selection.
If the elements are deleted, they are deselected and removed from the list of dimension elements. If the selected element of the fixed dimension is deleted, the next element in the list is selected.
If a new dimension is created, it is added to the list of fixed dimensions, and the first dimension element is selected.
The deleted dimension is removed from dimension list.
The data table is refreshed, all table changes that have not been saved to the data source, are lost.
Autoupdate enables the user to update data on changing of selection and/or with the specified period.
