Setting Up the Chart Visualizer

Available chart types: line, histogram, bar, area, pie, scatter, and other types.

Operations with Chart

To set up chart format, open the visualizer's context menu and select the Chart item.

Below is a brief description of basic operations with chart. To get full description, see the Setting Up Chart Components section.

Basic Operations Available for Chart

Select the visualizer and specify a chart type:

In the drop-down menu of the Type button on the Chart ribbon tab. The menu contains icons that correspond to various chart types. Pointing to the icon shows a tooltip with a chart type name.
In the chart's context menu. Use the drop-down menu of the Visualizer Type item. The menu contains items that correspond to various types of charts and visualizers.
In the Chart Type drop-down list on the Chart side panel tab.

The chart is rebuilt according to the selected type.

To set up general chart parameters, use the Chart side panel tab.

NOTE. The option is available only in the web application.

To display side panel tabs that are used to:

Set up chart. Select the Chart > Settings item in the context menu.
Set up chart series. Select the Chart > Series Settings item in the context menu.

Working with Chart Elements

To set up the legend position and formatting, use the Legend side panel tab.

TIP. To quickly set up legend position, use the drop-down menu of the Legend button on the Chart ribbon tab.

To set up chart plot area, use the Plot Area side panel tab.

To set up the chart value axis, use the Value Axis (Y) side panel tab.

To set up the chart category axis, use the Category Axis (X) side panel tab.

To set up the secondary value axis, use the Value Axis (secondary) side panel tab.

TIP. To display the secondary axis, go to the Data Series side panel tab and select the Plot on Secondary Axis checkbox for one or multiple series.

To hide or show a series, click the series name in the legend.

To set up data series, use the Data Series side panel tab.

To add and set up level lines, use the Level Lines side panel tab.

To set up tooltips, use the Tooltips tab.

To display or hide data labels, use:

The Data Labels button on the Chart ribbon tab. Labels are displayed if the button is clicked.
The Data Labels checkbox on the Data Series side panel tab. Labels are displayed if the checkbox is selected.

To set up label position relative to a series, use commands of the drop-down menu of the Data Labels button on the Chart ribbon tab: center, right, left.

To set up text format of labels, use the Data Labels group on the side panel tab.

To set up point value view, use the Tooltips tab.

If tooltips are set up for points, point the cursor to a point to see its value. The value is displayed as a tooltip.
