Standard Object Properties

To edit the selected object identifier, specify a new identifier:

• In the Object Identifier box in the Object Properties dialog box.

• In the Object Name box in the Object Properties group on the Object.Format ribbon tab.

After executing one of the operations a new identifier is assigned to the object.

To set a tooltip, enter tooltip text:

• In the Tooltip box in the Object Properties dialog box.

• In the Tooltip box in the Object Properties group on the Object.Format ribbon tab.

Executing one of these operations sets a tooltip for the object.

Select the object shift method in the Object Shift Method box in the Object Properties dialog box:

• Do not Move. The object does not change its size and position.

• With Fixed Size. The object size is fixed when this object is moved.

• With Fixed Height. The object height is fixed when this object is moved.

• With Fixed Width. The object width is fixed when this object is moved.

• Free Move. Enables the object to move freely.

• Move and Modify with Cells. The object moves together with cells.

NOTE. If the Move and Modify with Cells option is set for the object, the object is hidden on hiding the cells that contain the whole object. When the cells are displayed, object size and layout are restored.

To select object activation method:

• Select object activation method in the Object Activation Method box in the Object Properties dialog box.

• Click the Activation Method button in the Object Properties group of the Object.Format ribbon tab and select the required object activation method.

An object can be activated in the following way:

• Activate on Mouse Move. The object is activated on hovering the mouse pointer over the object.

• Activate on Object Selection. The object is activated when it is selected (single-click the object).

• Activate on Double-Click. The object is activated when it is double-clicked. Set by default.

• Do not Activate. The object cannot be activated by any of the above-listed methods.

• Activate on Report Opening. The Object is activated on opening the report.

To print the object on printing the report, select the Allow Object Printing checkbox in the Object Properties dialog box.

NOTE. The Allow Object Printing checkbox is selected by default.

To set object transparency, select the Transparency checkbox in the Object Properties dialog box.

When the checkbox is selected, image background becomes transparent, and cell contents can be seen through the object.

NOTE. The Transparency checkbox is available for the following objects: Chart, Picture, Map, Speedometer, Chart Legend and Text Block.

To change object size and position:

• Stretch or shrink the object with the mouse.

NOTE. When the user drags objects (groups of objects) while holding down the SHIFT key, the objects can move only horizontally or vertically.

• Set margins (between left or top report border and left or top object border) and object size in the Layout and Size group on the Object.Format ribbon tab.

• Set margins (between left or top report border and left or top object border), object size and object rotation angle in the Layout and Size group in the Object Properties dialog box.

NOTE. The user can input value in different measurement units. The editor box shows values using measurement units that correspond to the current regional settings of the operating system.
